Ever observed your expression when travelling in metro? What goes on in that mind when sitting alone? Not able to relax because the noise created by billion thoughts is not letting you sleep?

The face most of us usually make is grumpy. We pay attention to all sorts of negative scenarios going around us when sitting alone. And there is so much to think and decide that it won’t let you relax. The reason behind, negativity has become our habit. We need to clear the chaos. There are simple changes that we can adopt in our actions and before we realize we are already wearing a smile on our face.

1.       Smile!
Smiling does not make one look like a fool. Just look at your reflection in the metro or cab and change your expression right away. Yes, it is that simple. Have a look at your posture. Do not slouch, try and sit straight or sit in a relaxing posture or close your eyes, even better.
Making changes in your body language will distract you from negative thoughts for a while at least and will make you realize how less you put a smile on that pretty face.

2.       Express!
There are times when one needs to talk it out and share the issues going in that little head. Pick up your phone, not for texting, call someone you feel close to and try talking it out. They say communicating solves all problems. Well, am not sure of all but yes most issues can be resolved. While sharing we realize the problem we were magnifying is actually not that big and it is just a matter of patience.

3.      Writing does not hurt.
We have our phones handy all the time. You don’t need a pen and paper to do this. There are a lot of thoughts creating the chaos. So, try writing them and I mean it. Write down all your thoughts; be honest with yourself about all those silly insecurities and tiny tensions. Trust me on this, you will realize what among that list is worth spending time upon and what is mere your insecurity driving you crazy.
If you are honest with yourself you definitely love yourself. What else one needs?

4.      Distract yourself
You realize that it is just those lonely and quiet moments your mind picks up negativity from around so you can help yourself by distraction. Put on a video or any episode from your favorite series and enjoy. Listen to music, give a call to your mom and there it is. You are no longer in that gloomy state of mind. We find a lot of people reading while travelling, you can try this too.
Google up where you can resume your long forgotten hobby and get yourself enrolled. Enrolling yourself for your passion will satisfy your soul and you will be able to sleep tight that night.

5.      Face it
When the heap gets huge, it is time you face it. Think of all possible scenarios that can happen. What if that promotion is not for you? You will be still employed and living an independent life. What if you don’t get that project? What if you lose your job? There are better things waiting for you, you just need to look for them.
Face it and move on. This will prepare you for many more small little worries coming your way and you will be able to deal with them graciously.

These are some changes we all need to bring in action every other day because there is too much chaos which needs to be sorted.

Embrace it and keep positive!
